Our male Cockalier (Cocker/Cavalier) Lord Byron has a favorite spot upstairs, a covered porch off our TV-watching room. Last night, Byron wanted out to "his" porch, so I let him go smell whatever aromas he gets a kick of out there.
About an hour later, thunder, lightning, and rain literally shook the house. I didn't remember Byron, nor did I hear him scratch -- probably too scared to move out from under the outside sofa.
About 11:30 p.m., I headed downstairs with Meryl but was missing Byron, when I realized, oh, my, the poor boy had been out during the blazing storm.
When my husband let Byron in, he bolted downstairs and tried to lick me all over, his way of describing the terrifying experience he had just endured. Although that upstairs porch is covered, and he had a sofa to crawl under, I'll bet he won't ask to go out there for a while.
Again, many thanks for following me, and especially for reading and rating my work!
