Add Some C&W to Your Self-Quarantine

While you are self-quarantined: My husband Bill and I were late to the barn dance on this PBS documentary, but we sure enjoyed Ken Burns's historic approach to "Country Music." The first two episodes were a bit tedious and drawn out, but you need all that history to understand what comes later.

My ex-husband was a big C&W fan back in the day, and he used to take me to see George Jones and Tammy Wynette, Porter Wagoner and Norma Jean, Conway Twitty and “pretty little Miss” Loretta Lynn, Charlie Pride, Johnny Cash, and Willie Nelson. So this program was more fun for me than for my now-hubby Bill, because I'd seen so many of these folks perform in person. Anyway, great stuff, and I learned a whole lot. If you haven’t seen this, I highly recommend "Country Music" with 5 stars on the Pat-Oh-Meter.
